Offset printing has been around since 1875, but has had enhancements over the years with recent developments like CTP (computer to plate). Though Digital Printing has taken over the small print jobs, Offset Printing is still required for larger print runs.

Offset Print Estimating

Offset print estimating is more complex than digital print estimating. Additional factors include plates, printing methods, film, ink, numbering, impressions p/h & washup.

The press can affect costs greatly, with differing setup costs, impressions p/h, no. of colors, etc.

An offset press is also known as a mechanical press or litho printing.
