Print Estimating - Press Setup
The press setup varies depending on the press being used, as some presses may take longer to setup. The two main costs involved are:
- * The plate loading cost
- * The ink mixing costs
The plate loading cost is determined by the no. of plates (both existing and new), and the plate loading cost for that press.
The ink mixing costs are dependant on the number of different colors being used and whether they are easy or hard mixes.
Press Ready Cost = ((Easy Ink Mixing Cost x No. of Easily Mixed Colors) + (Hard Ink Mixing Cost x No. of Hard Mixed Colors) + (Plate Loading Cost x (New Plates + Existing Plates)) x No. of Originals
